HBO MAX’s POV (Power of Visibility)

The POV (Power of Visibility) initiative launched in 2017 and opens a window into the world of HBO through the lens of our multicultural and international talent working behind the scenes—highlighting their unparalleled expertise in their craft but also their individual stories that help speak directly and honestly to viewers and up and coming creators.

POV highlights our BTS talent through the “The Craft” custom content series and through POV LIVE IRL and virtual event opportunities where talent can further share their perspective and industry gems with multicultural audiences.

To further lean into our mission of giving BTS talent their flowers, we created the POV tagline that serves as a call to action for audiences to not only value on-screen content, but those who help bring it to life:

“Don’t Skip the Credits”

“The Craft” content pieces are incorporated into the larger marketing campaigns of each series to further lean into HBO’s brand of authentic storytelling and championing diversity through programming.

Since 2017 “The Craft” has featured: 120+ behind-the-scenes talent from 20+ HBO Original Series

POV talent vary in age, background and skill, giving them each a unique perspective to provide to those aspiring to enter and grow within the industry. In 2018, we began creating in-person and virtual experiences where our talent could share their knowledge, tell their stories and network with like-minded peers.
